A virtual private network (VPN) allows remote locations to communicate via the Internet using secured network resources provided via data encryption.
Historically, this type of solution would require a range of software and hardware, but it is now possible to connect a remote site with just one piece of equipment that incorporates routing, switching, firewall, intrusion prevention system (IPS) as well as an integrated modem that can provide an effective failover solution in case of service provider service interruption.
Our solution is Internet Service Provider independent so our clients can use their existing service providers or select the most appropriate provider in their geographical location.
Infra-Solutions can either implement and administer a new VPN solution based on Cisco Systems architecture or revise existing VPNs by recommending and deploying secure, reliable and redundant networking solutions. This allows businesses to entrust their network to a specialized partner.
| Cost: | A VPN effectively reduces the recurring monthly costs from 30% to 60%. Traditional links, such as frame relay, can generate monthly costs of more than $600 per site compared to an ADSL or a cable connection, which represents a monthly cost of around $60 or less. |
| Security: | Communications through a VPN are encrypted and thus secure. |
| Speed: | An ADSL or a cable connection can offer bandwidth of 1.5 Mbps to 6.0 Mbps compared to the considerably lower bandwidth provided by a private link. The cost advantages of a VPN solution are tangible. |
| Remote access: | Infra-Solutions has integrated a remote access service into its solution. We offer our clients the ability to remotely access their network through a secured connection. |
| Flexibility: | As well as providing secured communications for a client’s location, Infra-Solutions offers flexible networks providing secured connections with suppliers, clients and other business partners that allow access to the corporate network through either a dedicated connection or through an already existing Internet connection. |
| Back Up / Sturdiness: | A secondary connection such as another Internet link or private network connection can be used in case of extended network interruptions to ensure business continuity. |
| QoS: | The ability to configure quality of service (QoS) for specific types of communications allows us to adjust the VPN network or the corporate network to the evolving needs of our clients. |
